But I thought I’d post a follow-up to my previous piece about the Hillsborough County (Tampa) Florida area deputy who dumped a quadriplegic man out of his wheelchair because he refused to stand up when told to.

The deputy has now been charged with “felony abuse of a disabled person” and is out of jail on $3,500 bail. The story also reports that

Hillsborough County Sheriff David Gee has apologised to Mr Sterner.

Turns out the Sheriff has a bachelors in mathematics. Sounds like a class act.
