Too Cool - (165347) Philplait
Posted on March 26th, 2008 by blue collar scientistTony Dunn, who runs the Gravity Simulator site, has done a long numerical integration of the orbit of (165347) Philplait, outputting this in a diagram with a pseudo-stationary Jupiter and showing how the orbit of Phil’s namesake asteroid changes over time.
The first four rings are our inner planets. The green woven path is (165347) Philplait, and the magenta ring is Jupiter’s average position in a frame of reference designed to be Jupiter-centric.
Awsome, Tony.
