Came thru Pharyngula to give you my --oh I dunno- my hopes for a fabulous and straightforward outcome. And I stayed to read.

This caught my eye. At my daughters junior high school one of the kids had made a tee saying "homophobia is Gay", and was asked- told - by admin to take it off because school was not a place to make political statements.

Living in a country that is not the USA makes me curious as to how protected our kids rights to free speech are. I will be digging now.

Thanks for a great story!

Isn't it great that the school has the word "ponce" in its name?

Well, it's been theologically proven that homosexuality encouraged the wrath of terrorists, and Katrina. Hell, the dinosaurs went extinct because God noticed two male Euplocephalus nosing each other and flicked that giant comet our way.

Of course, God spared the French District. They have really good buffalo wings.

But yeah--I have NO patience for intolerant asswipes. The fact that people are mugging gays and saying they don't support Obama because he's "colored" in today's day and age makes me red in the face. The gleeful ignorance of humanity (and especially, it seems, Americans) never fails to disappoint me.

Great article! A family friendly rating and real social commentary rarely go together, you have to choose one, and if you chose the other your would rapidly become a rather boring blog!
