This is a sad ending, but rather than focus on this I would say focus on, or pay tribute to a great life. Great contributions to astronomy.

life is short .u live and die and make the best of in between.your friend seemed like a very nice person and i was moved .me being agnostic,hope ther is someware after life .if ther is he is there,jeff was also lucky to have you, a true friend you take care always
