Space Art from 1970’s NASA

I was wasting time on the internet the other day and came across this really neat page of depictions of space colonies that NASA Ames studied in the 1970’s. I’ve always had a soft spot for the sleek science fiction rockets of the 1950’s, but these plausible-concept space stations are just as cool.

There’s a nice cutaway view of the classical toroidal space station:
